Robin Tenbrink is excited to join the AISU teaching team. She is an expert in the fitness field with over twelve years of experience. She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Brigham Young University in Therapeutic Recreation and a Master’s of Health Science with an emphasis in Pediatric Exercise Science from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Robin is a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200 Hour level through Yoga Alliance and a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. She enjoys everything fitness and loves teaching all kinds of classes. Robin is a fitness presenter for the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. She travels nationwide teaching workshops and certifying prospective fitness professionals.
Charles Kavanagh is our Middle school PE/ Health Teacher and Elementary PE Teacher. Charles grew up 40 Miles east of New York City on Long Island. He has always had great passion for being active and outside. The passion grew from his adventures in local boy scout troop and earning his B.S. in Adventure Recreation from Green Mountain College. He later work as a Ski Patroller, Wilderness Search and Rescue, and ropes course facilitator. In 2007 he earned a Masters in Education form Hofstra University and moved out to Utah to explore more of life.
Charles comes to AISU with the goal of providing a comprehensive PE program for Elementary Students. He also hopes to integrate adventure based learning into his all of his classes. He is married to an adventurous wife and have a new baby daughter that they take everywhere.
In his spare time Charles explores the Wasatch range by foot in the summer and Split-board in the winter. When not in the mountains he can be found woodworking, fishing on the Provo or out on the dirt bike all over the intermountain west .
